Will Roland, Veanne Cox, more join upcoming Summer Stock World premiere at Goodspeed
Corbin Bleu and Danielle Wade are to head the staging of the Judy Garland-Gene Kelly film.

Additional casting has been revealed for Goodspeed Musicals’ upcoming world premiere of Summer Stockadapted from the 1950 MGM film and set to play the Connecticut theater July 7-27. August. As previously announced, production will be helmed by Corbin Bleu (High School Musical) as Joe Ross and Danielle Wade (Wild girls) as Jane Falbury.
Together with them, Arianna Rosario (Moulin Rouge!) as Gloria Flabury, Gilbert L. Bailey II (Book of Mormon) as Phil Filmore, Stephen Lee Anderson (Shining star) as Falbury, Veanne Cox (An American in Paris) as Margaret Wingate, Will Roland (Be more relaxed) as Orville Wingate and J. Anthony Crane (The country house) as Montgomery Leach.
The ensemble will include Erika Amato, Hannah Balagot, DeShawn Travis Bowens, Ronnie S. Bowman Jr., Emily Kelly, Francesca M. Mancuso, Tommy Martinez, Corinne Munsch, Gregory North, Kaylee Olson, Jack Sippel and Cayel Tregeagle, with swings Nicholas Cunha and Kennedy Perez end the business. Casting is by Peter Van Dam.
Inspired by the classic Judy Garland-Gene Kelly film, Summer Stock includes a book by Cheri Steinkellner of hits from the American songbook. The new musical follows theatrical Gloria, who invites fellow troopers to the family farm with the idea of putting on a show. Her practical sister Jane eventually gives in because the farm needs work – and workers.
Donna Feore directs and choreographs. The production will also feature music direction by Adam Souza; music supervision, arrangements and orchestrations by Tony winner Doug Besterman; scenic design by Wilson Chin; costume design by Tina McCartney; lighting design by Jeff Croiter; sound design by Jay Hilton; and hair, wig and makeup design by Liz Printz. Bradley G. Spachman will serve as production manager.
