Future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady has seen his fair game plan during his time in the NFL.
The seven-time Super Bowl champion certainly knows many of the ins and outs of the offense. Brady’s experience certainly lends him credibility when it comes to knowing how to attack defensive weaknesses.
But a report from the San Francisco Chronicle shed light on Brady’s potential input into the Buccaneers’ game plan going forward.

According to reports, Brady has been known to meet individually with other Buccaneers players, where he reviews game plans and sometimes makes changes.
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, head coach Todd Bowles or offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich was not aware of the adjustments until the game actually started.

The idea of NFL players changing their game plan before a game is uncommon in the league. When Brady was questioned about the validity of the report, he looked downcast.
“No,” Brady said. “I don’t know. I mean, anyone can write anything and say whatever they want. So, no… I’m not going to answer every — next question.”

Brady’s response did not clarify whether the report was accurate or whether he was disturbed by the public knowledge of those meetings.

Brady and his coaches haven’t always been on the same page during his tenure in Tampa Bay.
In Week 13, Brady seemed to be looking for a win in Games 4 and 10, but Bowles decided to take a bet. The Bucks ultimately beat the Saints after Brady led the offense to a comeback in the final seconds of the game.

Tampa Bay is in the midst of a disappointing season, but the team’s 6-7 record still puts them in first place in the NFC South. The Buccaneers have four games left in the regular season, and if they capture the division title, the team will host the playoffs at home.

Brady may also be fed up with the team’s offensive performance throughout the season. In DVOA, the offense ranks 17th in the NFL. So far this season, Brady has completed 381 of 579 pass attempts for 3,585 yards and 17 touchdowns.
