St. Louis, Missouri (December 11, 2022) – Four people were reportedly injured in a traffic accident in the St. Louis area. On December 9 at approximately 5:30 p.m., the Missouri Highway Patrol responded to a crash on Interstate 70.
According to authorities, the driver of the 2009 Nissan Altima began slowing down on the east side of Interstate 70 due to congestion in the area near Lucas and Hunter Roads. The driver of the 2021 Dodge Charger failed to slow down and hit the rear of the Nissan. Both vehicles were scrapped in the accident. Everyone in the Dodge fled the scene of the accident.
Four people in the Nissan were injured. The victims were identified as a three-year-old female, Pauline Kai, 19, Diontay Bell, 21, and Tay’Lah Bell, 21. All four victims were taken to Barnes-Jewish Hospital for injuries.
The incident is still under investigation.
