Queens, New York (January 17, 2023) – On the night of January 17th, there was a car accident in Queens that required urgent attention. Emergency crews were called to the scene of the crash on the Van Wyck Highway at about 7:50 p.m.
The incident happened near Atlantic Avenue on the Van Wyck Highway, reports said. The vehicle collided on the southbound lane, causing personal injury and property damage.
The extent of casualties from the collision has not yet been reported. Traffic returning to Central Park Avenue was held up while emergency crews worked in the area.
Local motorists were urged to use alternative travel routes as the accident scene was occupied by rescuers. Queens police are still investigating the details of the incident.
