PUMA Korea has officially apologized for the accident that occurred during the filming of the NCT 127 commercial.
On December 9, SM Entertainment revealed that while NCT 127 was filming a commercial earlier in the day, the jungle gym structure that was part of the set collapsed unexpectedly. Four members were slightly injured in the accident: Johnny, Jaehyun, and Jungwoo, who immediately went to the hospital for examination; and Taeil who chose to go home to rest.
Fortunately, Johnny, Jae-hyun and Jung-woo were found to be fine except for minor bruises after being checked at the hospital. But for the health of the members, the pre-recording of NCT 127 SM Entertainment’s “2023 SMTOWN LIVE : SMCU PALACE @KWANGYA” concert has been postponed, and Jungwoo will not appear as an MC in MBC’s “Music Core” this week.
Following the accident, PUMA Korea issued the following statement:

PUMA Korea issued the following statement regarding the accident that occurred during the filming of the NCT 127 commercial.
NCT 127 is currently serving as the image ambassador of PUMA in the Asia-Pacific region. On December 9, when they were filming an advertisement, members Johnny, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, and Taeil had an accident due to structural problems at the shooting site.
Immediately after the accident, members Johnny, Jaehyun, and Jungwoo were rushed to a nearby hospital, where they were undergoing comprehensive checkups.Once detailed results are available, they will be announced via [NCT’s] Agent SM Entertainment ASAP.
Fortunately, Tae-il was only slightly injured, and we respect his personal decision to go home and rest.
PUMA Korea has a strong sense of responsibility for this accident, and we plan to do our best to find out the cause and prevent it from happening again.
We apologize to the fans who must have been taken aback by the news of their beloved artist’s accident [NCT’s] The agency SM Entertainment has them worried.
In addition, PUMA Korea will do its best to provide treatment and speedy recovery to NCT 127 members Johnny, Jaehyun, and Jungwoo who were injured in this accident, and we will help them recover as soon as possible.
