A Westmore High School student was killed in the crash, Moore Public Schools confirmed, adding that multiple students were involved in the crash. Police told KOCO 5 that two pickup trucks crashed near SW 134th Street and South Pennsylvania Avenue. Police said at least six people were involved in the crash. There were five people in one truck and one in the other. One of the five occupants of the truck died and three others were in critical condition, according to police. All six are believed to be students of Westmore. Moore Public Schools released the following statement: “This evening, the Oklahoma City Police Department confirmed to the Moore Public Schools Police Department that a crash at SW 134th and S. Penn Ave. involved multiple Westmoore High School students and resulted in a A student has died. Multiple students are currently in hospital. Our entire MPS family is now grieving this terrible loss. The MPS mental health team will be on site and assisting WHS students and staff on the final day of school tomorrow. We Thoughts and prayers are with the families affected by this incident and the serious loss.” Police said speed may have been a factor in the accident. Police said speed may have been a factor in the accident.

Authorities have not released further information about the victim.
