Key storylines that players will pay close attention to

Bunu – spelled Bono on his shirt – was brilliant in the penalty shootout, but the Moroccan defender limited Spain to a shot on goal. Romain Saiss was particularly good in the middle of the defence, while Achraf Hakimi and Noussair Mazraoui excelled wide, forward and defensively.

Portugal have Goncalo Ramos in Cristiano Ronaldo’s starting XI, with the 21-year-old center forward scoring three goals and assisting one against Switzerland. Bruno Fernandes was brilliant for Portugal, while Ruben Neves and Rafael Leao played small roles and should be rested if Fernando Santos is seeking a World Cup title.
