Monette, Missouri (December 9, 2022) – A woman and a young child were injured in a major vehicle crash in Barry County Wednesday night. According to reports, the accident occurred on December 7 at around 5.10pm.
According to a report provided by the Missouri Highway Patrol, a 2005 Jeep Wrangler crossed the center line of the road and crashed head-on into a 2016 Ford Fusion on County Road 1070, just two miles south of Monette, Missouri.
A 65-year-old woman, Carol Stockton, and a 6-year-old man were both injured in the crash. Stockton was taken to Coxnan Hospital where she was treated for serious injuries. The child was taken to Cox Hospital in Monette for further treatment.
The Missouri Highway Patrol is currently investigating the crash.
