Being a supermom to two NFL stars isn’t easy. But Cheryl Bosa made it work.

Ultimately, Mama Bosa had to decide which race to enter.
“I’m praying that I can be both,” Cheryl told Ashley Adamson and Lisa McCaffrey on the “Your Mom” podcast. “Obviously, this weekend I’m not lucky. Hopefully next weekend, I will.
“Joey was injured this year. I went to his first game, I went to the game he went down and then he was out for 10 or 12 weeks. I went to the first game he came back and it was Two weeks ago. I guess it’s just a numbers game, you know? Like, I need to be around him.”
Joey recorded six tackles (two fumbles), 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble in the first two games of his seventh NFL season before going down in Week 3 with a groin injury . He missed 13 straight games before returning in Week 17, but he still finished the season with the sixth-most sacks and tied for the Chargers’ top quarterback percentage.
“I was just with Nick and we went to dinner after Sunday’s game [against the Arizona Cardinals]said Cheryl. “I was like, ‘Baby, I’m really sorry, but I’m going to Joey’s game,’ and he was like, ‘Of course, Mom. “

While Joey was out, Nick solidified his case for NFL Defensive Player of the Year. He finished the season with a league-high 18.5 sacks, just one shy of Aldon Smith’s single-season record of 19.5 set in 2012.
The 49ers are heading into the playoffs with a 10-game winning streak and will build on that so Mom Bosa can cheer on the DPOY leaders at Levi’s Stadium next week.
