Savannah, 25, previously spoke about the accident on a November episode of her podcast.

“He was on the interstate. I think another car was weaving through the traffic. I think everyone in that situation was overkill because of the car,” the Sassy By Savannah founder explained at the time. “His car is a wreck. It’s not great.”

Grayson’s accident happened just days before his parents, todd chrisley and Julie Chrisley, were sentenced to 12 and 7 years in prison for fraud, respectively. The reality star, who was first charged with multiple counts of bank and wire fraud in August 2019, will also be serving 16 months of probation. Todd, 53, and Jolie, 49, pleaded not guilty at a trial that began in May.

The couple reacted to the verdict on the “Chrisley Confessions” podcast in November.

“Yesterday doesn’t matter. Today is what we have. Tomorrow belongs to God because we didn’t get the promise of tomorrow,” Todd said at the time. “What God calls us to experience, He will lead us to experience.”

The matriarch echoed her husband, saying, “God will call you to something, and He will equip you to do it. He will give you what you need to do. What I’m going through, how I’m dealing with it— [my kids are] Watching that too. If I handle it right, they’ll see, if I screw up, they’ll see, so, as a parent, I want to make sure I do more things right than I do wrong, because I know they’re watching and I know it’s going to Prepare them for the difficulties they will unfortunately encounter later in life. “

Grayson, who was about to be sentenced at the time of the accident, feared adding to his family’s troubles.

“The first thing he said [after the wreck] It was, ‘This is the last thing everybody needs,'” Savannah recalled on “Unlocked” last month. “Dad said, ‘Grayson, you’re alive, you’re safe, who cares ? It’s a car, and that’s what insurance is for. You’re alive, you’re safe, you’re fine. ‘”

During a podcast episode aired shortly before her parents’ sentencing, the Georgia native shared that she will have custody of Grayson and her niece Chloe while the US Network star is in prison .

“[I’m] Trying to understand how to teach two young children who are not yet fully developed and … keep them informed,” she said. “That was a very, very difficult thing. “

Although Savannah didn’t detail her parents’ legal battles during Tuesday’s interview with her brother, she shared empathy for them.
