At least five people were killed in traffic accidents in Gebandar, Dinajpur and Naral districts between Tuesday night and Wednesday.

In Gaibandha, Milon Miah of Rudranagar village under the Shibpur Union of Gobindganj upazila was killed when his motorcycle was hit by a truck laden with sand in the Charmatha area of ​​Gobindganj town.

The accident occurred when the truck hit Myron’s motorcycle on his way home, seriously injuring him.

Gobindaganj police chief Izar Uddin said locals rescued him and took him to Gobindaganj Upazila Health Complex where the doctor on duty pronounced him dead.

The OC added that police impounded the truck, but the driver managed to escape.

Three people were killed in a traffic accident in Birampur and Birganj upazilas in Dinajpur, UNB reported.

In Birampur, a man and woman on motorcycles were killed when a BRTC bus hit their motorcycle in the Beldanga intersection area.

The deceased were identified as Sohel, 38, from Railkoli, Dinajpur, and Selina, 28, from Sipahi Para.

Deputy Inspector Babul Islam of the Birampur police station said the accident happened at around 8.45am when a BRTC bus bound for Rangpur collided with a motorbike and two people died at the scene.

In Dinajpur’s Birganj upazila, another motorcyclist died when a covered van hit his car.

Birganj Police Deputy Inspector Ashraful Islam said the deceased Hazrat Ali, 56, was a resident of Pradhanabad village under Debiganj upazila, Panchagarh district.

A motorcyclist died in a car accident in the Naldirachar area under the sadar upazila of Narail on Tuesday night, reports Sambadsanta, Bangladesh.

The deceased, Mehdi Hasan Roni (Mehdi Hasan Roni), 26 years old, was a resident of the Navapara district of Sardar Upazila in the district.

Police said the accident happened on the Narail-Nawapara highway in the area at about 8:30 p.m. when a truck hit a motorcycle from the opposite direction, killing its rider, Ronnie, at the scene.
