Five dead in Mandya’s Nagamangala accident
According to police, three passengers in the Swift car (from Hassan) and two passengers in the Innova car were killed at the scene in the crash
Five people were killed and three were seriously injured when two vehicles collided head-on on the Bengaluru-Mangaluru state road near Nagathihalli, Nagamangala taluk, on Sunday night.
Details of the deceased are yet to be ascertained. The Innova car from Tamil Nadu is said to have been bound for Mangalore from Bangalore. It hit the median of the road and then collided head-on with the Swift car coming from the opposite direction.
According to police, three occupants of the Swift vehicle (from Hassan) and two occupants of the Innova vehicle were killed at the scene in the crash.
Three other people in the Innova vehicle were seriously injured and have been taken to Adichunchanagiri Hospital for treatment. According to police, the driver of the Innova car lost his balance and hit the median line, causing the accident.
Bindiganaville Police have opened a case.
