A fitness brand has opened a new pop-up store inside a major department store in Glasgow.

Following their success in Edinburgh, Fallain Fitness will move into the John Lewis menswear department at the city’s Buchanan Galleries for a week.

Named after the Gaelic word for ‘health’, Fallain is the brainchild of siblings Philip and Andrea Tod, who were delighted to open shop just before Christmas.

The Great British Pop-Up initiative aims to help promote independent businesses through pop-up stores, and Philip and Andrea look to bring the brand to a “whole new audience” after their online success.

Philip said: “We are very proud to be running a pop-up store at John Lewis for the second time at the store’s busiest time of year.

“The first pop-up store in Edinburgh has been a huge success, allowing us to engage directly with our customers and get their valuable feedback.

“The majority of our sales to date have been through our own website and Amazon – our T-shirts are in the top 150 of the UK bestseller list, but getting into John Lewis has pushed our brand into the A whole new audience.

“We’re also excited to debut our newest product, the Tonn Collection, which includes three new t-shirt designs.

“This is a great opportunity to pick up some stylish pieces for your wardrobe, or pick up Christmas gifts for the gym-goer in your life!”

The duo launched the label in 2021 amid the Covid pandemic and it has gone from strength to strength.

Their aim is to fill a gap in the sportswear market, offering quality products with a Scottish twist.

Andrea says, “Starting a new business during a pandemic has been challenging, but we’re all driven by our passion for fitness and design.

“We wanted to create a brand that was as compelling in the gym as it was on the street, and the feedback has been fantastic!

“Bringing Fallain Fitness to John Lewis in Glasgow over Christmas is like a dream come true and we can’t wait to showcase our clothing range!”

A Fallain Fitness pop-up will be open at John Lewis from December 5th to 12th.
