After surviving the crash, the former light welterweight champion documented the aftermath of the crash on his Instagram Live and said it wasn’t his fault. After confirming minor leg injuries, the 32-year-old blamed the crash on another driver, identified as a 14-year-old.

An undocumented underage teenager ran a red light and hit the head of his SUV, causing a major crash, according to Truth. Upon investigation, the child took his mother’s car for a spin without permission.

“F****** hit me. f**ked my leg. It was crazy. He turned on the light. Happens to me all the time. I saw him coming too. He hit straight I”Spencer said.

After the horrific crash, Spence Jr. spoke to ES NEWS for the first time while out watching the highly anticipated lightweight bout between Frank Martin and Michael Rivera.

Referring to the accident, he said, “I would say the top wasn’t seriously hurt, thank God for that guy. I wasn’t hurt, he wasn’t hurt, we weren’t seriously hurt. So it’s all a blessing. I think two days ago the kid got mad and the car hit. A lot of things we take for granted. We shouldn’t take that for granted.”

This is the third time Spence Jr. has been involved in a crash since 2019.
