Coopersburg, PA – Determined to live a more active lifestyle in 2023? Coopersburg’s new fitness facility might just be the ticket.

Owner Matt Baker, a former professional football player, founded Perfect Touch nearly a decade ago and has been renting spaces throughout the Lehigh Valley for his football practices and other programs.







Perfect Touch Sports, which offers a variety of athletic training and fitness programs, will open a new 2,400-square-foot facility at 112 Springfield Street in Coopersburg in January.




Services include private, group and team training for soccer and lacrosse, as well as SportFit, a cross-training program that improves speed, strength, agility and overall performance in athletes across all sports.

“We’re excited to continue helping people in even greater ways,” Baker said. “We love what we do and what we do hasn’t really changed much. However, this new facility gives us a home base and it gives the community another space to develop their health and skills. “

Baker, who lives in Coopersburg, purchased the former pole barn in July and has overhauled the structure over the past few months with new concrete and turf floors, insulation, lighting and more.

He has painted a business motto on one of the walls, “every day is busy,” and he plans to complete a lobby area with a bathroom in the next few weeks. Equipment such as kettlebells, medicine balls and push sleds will also arrive in time for the facility’s grand opening in January.

“Our goal is to help change lives through exercise and fitness,” Baker said. “We’ve been lucky enough to do what we love for nearly 10 years and can’t wait to see the impact we can make moving forward.”

Baker has played soccer since he was 3 years old and is a member of several local traveling teams and top teams, including Lehigh Valley United.

After playing Division I football at the University of Pittsburgh, he continued his professional football career with the USLPRO’s Pittsburgh Riverhounds.

He later joined other teams such as Cardosa Moriera in Brazil’s second tier and the Philadelphia Union Reserves in Major League Soccer, but a torn ACL forced him to change course and further his passion by developing Perfect Touch Sports. enthusiasm.

Baker and his wife, Brianna, also run three-year-old Refinery Fitness, a boutique fitness studio offering individual and group training, on Station Avenue in Coopersburg.

“Perfect Touch Sports has about a dozen coaches, and we all love what we do,” Baker said. “Now, we’ll have the opportunity to do more. By having coaches here and continuing to rent space at other venues, we can do projects at multiple locations on the same night.”
