The body of a father-of-three has been found on a highway in Sydney’s south-west, days after a truck driver was charged in a fatal crash.
The body of Campbelltown father David Howard was found on the side of the Hume Hwy on October 12 after a section of the road was closed for several hours, causing traffic chaos.

Howard, 30, is believed to have been hit by a truck two days before his body was found.
However, police were not notified to investigate until October 12, and the wreckage was found when the motorway was blocked to search the area around 1pm.
It’s unclear how Howard fell by the wayside.
Following a lengthy investigation, NSW Police arrested the 37-year-old lorry driver on Wednesday and charged him with failing to stop and assist and driving in a dangerous manner following a collision that resulted in his death.
Police will allege the Wirlinga man drove a prime mover into the 30-year-old man and failed to stop.
He is due to appear at Campbelltown Local Court in January.
Family and friends paid tribute to Howard after the accident, describing him as one of the “good guys”.
“We will all miss you,” Robbie Gordon shared on Facebook.
“The family is trying to stick together but we’re all crushed
“I keep asking why the good guys go early but you will always be with us my boy (sic).
“One day we will meet again, but until then we have to bring the rest of the family together.”
“What the whole family is going through is unfathomable,” said friend Jess Leigh.
