No. 14 LSU vs. No. 1 Georgia (Atlanta SEC Championship Game) — CBS, 4 p.m., cbs sports network, CBS Sports App: The Bulldogs may have locked up the CFP spot, but the program hasn’t won an SEC title since 2017. That’s a tangible goal for every team going into the season, as it’s something teams can realistically control until the CFP selection committee makes a playoff decision. That’s important. The Bulldogs played down their game at times this season, while the Tigers suffered an embarrassing loss at Texas A&M. With Michigan closing in on the Bulldogs, some style points for keeping the No. 1 seed in the CFP rankings might help.
No. 22 UCF at No. 18 Tulane (AAC Championship Game) – 4 p.m. ABC, Fubo TV (free trial): The Green Waves will host the AAC Championship Game for the first time in their history and will be looking to avenge their Nov. 12 loss to the Cavaliers. This game could determine which team makes it to the five-man roster for the New Year’s Six bowl game.
Purdue vs. No. 2 Michigan (Big Ten title game in Indianapolis) — Fox, 8 p.m., Fubo TV (free trial): The Wolverines are looking for their second straight Big Ten title and a CFP berth following an impressive two years for coach Jim Harbaugh. Donovan Edwards was on the floor in place of the limited Blake Kunlun, and now Edwards has to be JJ McCarthy’s first choice, as Kunlun’s leg injury has sidelined him for a year. The Boilermakers will have to pull off one of the biggest upsets of the year to lift the trophy at Lucas Oil Stadium.
No. 9 Clemson vs. No. 23 North Carolina (ACC Championship Game in Charlotte) — 8 p.m., ABC Fubo TV (free trial): The Tigers are looking to get back on top and fix their shaky offense in the biggest game of the season. DJ Uiagalelei isn’t the superstar many were expecting, but a conference title would be a great way to end a disappointing season. The Tar Heels are looking for their first ACC title since 1980, which would make this a wild scenario as the desperate program begs for success under legendary coach Mike Brown.
