Police said the dead were auto rickshaw driver Taher Miah, 25, a resident of Dharmandal village under Nasirnagar upazila in Brahmin Balia, and auto rickshaw passenger Abdul Latif, 42, in Kayestaghat village under Balaganj upazila in Sylhet.

The accident happened at around 11:00 am when a pickup truck collided head-on with a motor rickshaw on the Dhakshin Surma bypass road near the Galimpur area of ​​Sylhet city, seriously injuring the driver of the motor rickshaw and four passengers on board. die.

Two people were killed and several others were injured when a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw rammed into a truck in the capital’s Chhatrabari district early Friday, Bangladesh’s United News reported.

The dead were Momin Mia, a 37-year-old auto rickshaw driver from Narayanganj, and Palash, a 50-year-old passenger, who was a fishmonger in Munshiganj.

Meanwhile, two people, including a woman, were killed and four others were injured in two traffic accidents in Natore sadar upazila on Friday, UNB reported.

The dead were identified as Parul Begum, 30, and Hanif, 40.

Sangbad Sangstha, Bangladesh reported that one motorcyclist was killed and another was injured when a truck ran over their motorcycle in Kalihati upazila in Tangail district on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Tanveer Hossain, 25, from Mirzapur upazila.

A New Age reporter in Munshiganj reported that one person was killed and two others were injured in multiple traffic accidents in Munshiganj between Thursday and Friday.

The deceased was identified as Ibrahim Khan, a resident of Khoria village in Kumarbhog union.

In another incident, a pickup truck driver and his assistant were injured after the driver of a pickup truck hit a roadside lamppost on the Dhaka-Mawa-Bhanga highway in Lauhajang, Munshiganj on Thursday.

Sreenagar Fire Station and Civil Defense Depot Inspector Mahfuz Riben said the accident happened in front of the Padma Bridge (North) Police Station. The injured were taken to Sreenagar Upazila Health Complex.

The New Age correspondent in Lalmonirhat reported that five passengers were injured when the car of an Assistant Commissioner (Land) crashed into an electric rickshaw in Lalmonirhat on Thursday night.

The injured Piyas, 22, Pranto, 21, Murad, 21, Habib, 23, and Haydar Ali, 26, were taken to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
