With the start of the 2022 playoffs and the start of the College Football Bowl, a series of games will mark the celebration of a remarkable year for the sport. The game begins on Friday, December 16th and will continue until the College Football Playoff National Championship on Monday, January 9th, when we will be crowned the National Champion for the 2022 season.
Bowl Season events kicked off on Friday with no excitement in the two playoff games as UAB kicked off the festivities with a win over Miami (OH) in the Bahamas Bowl and Troy stifled UTSA in the Cure Bowl in a There was a showdown championship between the two meetings. However, that’s just a list of two games. Saturday has more on the schedule, with six bowl games for college football fans.
It all started early Saturday in the Fenway Cup, with Louisville taking on Cincinnati. Then, an interesting matchup between Florida State and No. 14 Oregon State headlines the Las Vegas Bowl, while Washington State and Fresno State battle it out in the Los Angeles Bowl. In the end, BYU clashed with SMU in the New Mexico Bowl, Boise State took on North Texas in the Frisco Bowl, and Miss Southern caught Rice in the LendingTree Bowl.
In addition to the FBS bowl game, Deion Sanders will coach his final game at Jackson State before heading to Colorado as the Tigers take on NC Central in the Celebration Bowl.
