The real estate company won Big developer of the year and the Health and Wellbeing Initiative award.

Last year the firm completed three new BTR blocks totaling 1,472 homes, pushing ahead with its pipeline of plots worth a combined £1.5bn.

The developer’s health and wellbeing initiatives included installing a 200m running track on the roof of one of its properties and partnering with an online GP service to give residents free access to medical appointments.

The awards, which recognize excellence across the UK property sector, took place at a black-tie dinner at the Grosvenor House hotel in central London and were hosted by comedian Axel Blake.

Other winners on the night included Battersea Power Station, who won the award for This year’s development after the conversion of the listed building into a mixed development with 254 apartments.

A joint venture between housebuilder Countryside Partnerships and Warwickshire Country Council won the award for Agreement of the year – housing. The Develop Warwickshire initiative will create 1,800 new homes this year and invest £2.5 billion in total in new homes and jobs in the county.

The year’s Personality of the year in residential properties was won by Roger Madelin, joint manager of British Land’s Canada Water development in south-east London.

Madelin has spearheaded some of the UK’s most ambitious developments over the past 30 years, including the regeneration of King’s Cross in London and Brindleyplace in Birmingham. The Canada Water scheme of 3.5 billion pounds will see a 53-hectare site transformed into a mixed-use neighborhood with up to 3,000 net-zero homes.

Stephanie Denton, Head of Content at Property weeksaid: “This year’s RESI Awards showcase what an amazing roster of talent we have in the property sector. Congratulations to the winners and everyone nominated for this year’s awards.”
