Dasha Plesen is an artist who grows beautiful mold inside petri dishes. If you never imagined that mold could be beautiful, her pictures will probably change your mind. These petri dishes look like they have mini universes growing inside them. I love the wide variety of textures and colors. It is incredible to think that these works of art are alive. If I were a microscopic sponge, I would absolutely love to be a part of Plesen’s art.
