COLUMBUS, Ohio — Nick Boykin took third Saturday in the Greco Roman 97 kg bracket at the 2023 World Team Trials Challenge Tournament in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

In the semifinals, Boykin fell to Cade Lautt, Tar Heel Wrestling Club, VPO1, 6-6.

In the third place match, Boykin defeated Brandon Marshall, Big Game Wrestling Club, VFA, 2-0.

The winners of each weight class Saturday qualified for Final X, where they will have the opportunity to win a best-of-three series against another opponent with a spot on the USA World Team on the line.

Wrestlers who win at Final X Wrestling will represent the United States at the 2023 Senior World Championships

Final X will be held June 9-10 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
